Ima Robot - Creeps Me Out
You know those relationships that you kind of get pushed into and don’t really care enough to let it go so you kind of act indifferent to your significant other in hopes that maybe they’ll just break it off with you instead so you don’t really have to feel all that guilty for breaking up with them yourself which is really the easier and less painful thing to do ultimately, only to discover that the more you treat them horribly, the deeper their infatuation seems to grow and the more you start going out without telling them and ignore phone calls and completely take advantage of them only to come home and find them completely fawning over you?
No?
Then have you ever been the OTHER person that is just dumped on and unappreciated constantly but regardless you seem to be just as attached to them, probably more than if they did appreciate you so you keep holding on even though deep, deep, deep, deep down you know you could do so much better but that doesn’t even cross your mind because you’re just so happy doing everything you can for that person that treats you like absolute crap, so happy that you don’t even realize how miserable you are, and think that maybe because its so dysfunctional, its ‘real’ or some equally stupid rationalization of you just hurting yourself with a bad relationship?
No?
Well, that’s kind of what the song’s about. I like it.
It’s directed by Frank Borin, who has also done: Breaking Benjamin, Good Charlotte, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Simple Plan and Story of the Year. I find his videos to be kind of boring, but…
At least he didn’t direct The Hoff’s video.
